Boston Takes Early Lead in Series

The Boston Celtics took a commanding 1-0 lead in the NBA Finals on Thursday night, defeating the Dallas Mavericks 107-89 in Game 1. Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics with 24 points, while Kristaps Porzingis added 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Mavs Off to Slow Start

The Mavericks struggled to find their rhythm in the first half, shooting just 38.5% from the field. The Celtics, on the other hand, shot 50% from the field and took a 55-42 lead into halftime.

The Celtics continued to dominate in the second half, building their lead to as many as 27 points. The Mavericks never threatened to mount a comeback, and the Celtics cruised to a comfortable victory.

With the win, the Celtics take an early advantage in the series. Game 2 will be played on Sunday night in Dallas.
